The State of Digital Communications Report 2023

Europe’s digital infrastructure is high on the political agenda since the first days of the new year. At the same time, other regions of the world have made significant progress on digital connectivity. How does Europe score on achieving the 2030 Digital Decade targets on connectivity? On which metrics does Europe have a lead over other continents? Where does Europe lag behind?

On 2/2 from 14:00 – 15:00 CET ETNO hosted the launch webinar of the “State of Digital Communications Report 2023”, prepared for ETNO by leading research firm Analysys Mason. We counted with the interventions of:
- Renate Nikolay, Deputy Director-General DG CNECT, European Commission
- Rupert Wood, Research Director, Analysys Mason
- Lise Fuhr, Director General, ETNO

The event covered the latest facts and figures that are relevant to Europe’s progress on achieving the 2030 Digital Decade targets on connectivity, and much more relevant data: 5G and FTTH coverage, investments in digital infrastructure, IoT connections in various sectors, Open RAN trials and developments, 5G standalone networks, greener networks and green enabling solutions, to name a few.
