Filling the ICT skills gap in the Telecommunications sector of the future (FITS)
The ICT Skills Workshop will be the final activity of the FITS project to which many ETNO members and UNI Europa affiliates have actively contributed. The conference will highlight the outcome of the academic and field research by Breyer Publico consultants on the current and expected ICT skills gaps in the telecommunications sector.

One Single Telecom Market for Europe?

The sector is continuing to experience a decline in revenues, putting at risk its capacity to invest in next-generation mobile and fibre-line access. The Commission’s latest proposals are intended to foster greater competition and investment in the EU telecoms industry, igniting innovation and growth.
International Institute of Communications Telecommunications and Media Forum Istanbul 2013
Fabio Colasanti, President of the International Institute of Communications, will chair this exclusive meeting of senior individuals from the industry and public policy arenas within the communications environment who have an interest in the emerging markets and in Turkey and the surrounding region in particular.
Luigi Gambardella, Chair of the ETNO Executive Board, will join a high level panel of speakers at the International Institute of Communications’ Forum in Istanbul to talk about reducing barriers to investment with appropriate policy and regulatory responses.
8th EETT International Conference
ETNO to participate in the 8th EETT International Conference, Athens 17 May
Luigi Gambardella, ETNO Executive Board Chair, will speak on Friday 17 May at the 8th edition of the International conference organised by the Greek Telecoms Regulator, EETT, on the theme "Regulation towards a smart digital ecosystem. The conference will be opened by Mr. Menelaos Daskalakis, General Secretary of Telecommunications & Post, Ministry of Development & Infrastructures, Dr. Leonidas Kanellos, EETT President & BEREC Chair, and Dr. Hamadoun Touré, Secretary General, International Telecommunication Union (ITU).
ETNO EB Chair to speak at the 8th annual Telecomfinance Conference in London on 30-31 January
Speaking on the regulatory panel on 30 January, Luigi Gambardella, Chair of the ETNO Executive Board, will look at how EU policies need to evolve in order to allow for the EU telecoms sector to grow and meet the investment challenge.

In the Context of the EU Internet Week, ETNO is hosting a breakfast debate on the EU Telecoms Sector today and tomorrow and the potential of low-carbon IT services to drive forward a sustainable Europe. On this occasion, the latest ETNO annual economic report on the main trends for the sector will be unveiled.
ETNO-Total Telecom Regulatory Summit
The ETNO- Total Telecom Regulatory Summit, opened by Georg Serentschy, 2012 BEREC Chair, and Anthony Whelan, Head of Vice President Kroes Cabinet, has attracted about 200 participants from the EU Institutions, national regulators, industry, academics and investors.
ETNO/ITU Workshop: Revising the International Telecommunication Regulations (ITRs) - Preparations for WCIT 2012
ETNO, in co-operation with the ITU, held a workshop entitled ‘Revising the International Telecommunication Regulations (ITRs) - Preparations for WCIT 2012’ that gathered a range of high level industry speakers from across the globe, including speakers from the ITU, ISOC, the Council of Europe, the European Commission, Ambassador David Gross and US Ambassador to the EU, William Kennard.
ETNO Costing workshop
Approximately one hundred participants from the European Commission, national regulators and Member States as well as industry representatives, academics and investors participated in an ETNO workshop entitled "How to boost investment in next generation access networks: the impact of regulated prices on investments". The workshop was organised under the auspices of the London School of Economics.
