During the 3-day visit, ETNO delegates had the opportunity to learn more on policy and regulatory developments in the United States. We discussed how policy and regulation on the two sides of the Atlantic can contribute to lower barriers to innovating and investing in the telecom and tech sectors. This is of utmost importance, especially at a time in which telcos are laying the ground for new consumer and business services with 5G.
The Internet and digital technologies are transforming our world – in every walk of life and in every line of business. Europe must embrace the digital revolution and open up digital opportunities for people and businesses.
ETNO has been the voice of Europe’s telecommunications network operators since 1992 and has become the principal policy group for European electronic communications network operators. Its 41 members and observers from Europe and beyond are the backbone of Europe’s digital progress. They are the main drivers of broadband and are committed to its continual growth in Europe. ETNO brings together the main investors in innovative and high-quality e-communications platforms and services, representing 60% of total sector investment.
