MAY 2005 EC070 - ETNO Expert Contribution on Harmonisation and Flexibility in the context of radio spectrum management

ETNO considers the standardisation of radiocommunication equipment and the harmonisation of radio spectrum as the basis for a successful development and placing on the market.

Nevertheless, a more flexible use of radio spectrum could facilitate a more efficient radio spectrum use. ETNO takes the view that sufficient experience has to be gained before appropriate regulation modifications can take place and favours a careful and progressive approach. The EC and the CEPT should be involved in order to adopt a common approach in the end.
