📶 Promote private investment in mobile and fibre networks.
📶Facilitate cost reductions related to network deployment. Governments’ support is crucial to harmonise conditions for spectrum awards and local permits.
📶Set aspirational demand side targets. Policy initiatives that encourage traditional European industries, public sector and consumers to embrace the digital economy and society will help accelerate further development of digital infrastructure.

#EUvsVirus Pan-European Hackathon

Building upon already conducted national hackathons, the European Commission, in close collaboration with the EU member states, will host a pan-European hackathon from 24 - 26 April. This will connect civil society, innovators, partners and investors across Europe in order to develop innovative solutions for coronavirus-related challenges.

Registrations close on 19 April.
