European INSTITUTIONS ARE Tackling COVID-19 disinformation - Getting the facts right

 

Yesterday, the European Commission, European Parliament and the European Council issued a Joint Communication to unite in the fight against disinformation around the coronavirus pandemic. The communication analyses the immediate response and proposes concrete action that can be quickly set in motion.

'Disinformation pollutes our democracy and hurts Europe's innovation and competitiveness' said ETNO's Director-General Lise Fuhr'Recent false claims on 5G led to attacks against telecom employees and to destruction of essential mobile networks. Today's move is an important step towards tackling disinformation.'

EUROPEAN COMMISSION DEBUNKING 5G MYTHS with SCIENCE

The European Commission has released a 5G FAQ to address the most common misinformations out there regarding the new technology. To address any health concerns, they went through all these questions in this video with the Italian immunologist Antonella Viola.
