TELCOS PROMOTE CIRCULAR ECONOMY

We welcome the initiative of the European Commission that aims at promoting a more sustainable and longer use of goods throughout their useful life. It will pave the way for consumers to make more sustainable choices, which is something that ETNO members have been already encouraging to a large extent.

The Eco Rating initiative pioneered by Deutsche Telekom, Orange, Telefónica, Telia Company and Vodafone has been embraced by many other operators beyond Europe. Moreover, telcos have been taking various actions to promote circular economy. From buy-back programmes, refurbishment initiatives, to recycling or extensive insurance coverage, read more below to find out how you can join the initiative in your country by liaising with your telecommunications provider.
