Senior Regulatory Position

The Association: we are the leading trade association for telecom operators in Europe. Our job is to work closely with our members and the stakeholders’ community to achieve a better policy and regulatory environment for digitalising Europe. We shape industrial and policy agendas in a fast-changing sector and we work in a dynamic, disruptive and fast-paced environment.

The profile: we are looking for a service-oriented, well-connected and consensus-driven individual, with strong knowledge of the EU legislative process, as well as a drive a for intelligence gathering. Outstanding expertise in EU telecom regulation is a must.

Main tasks: Manage part of ETNO’s 17 Working Groups in close collaboration with the respective Chairs from Member Companies; Work with Members to advance common positions and analyse the relevant regulation, with a particular focus on the European Electronic Communications Code, Open Internet Regulation, Spectrum policy; Create consensus and support the policy positioning of the Association; Be on top of relevant intelligence; Advocate the ETNO policy agenda and achieve impact in the legislative process; Prepare briefings, presentations and position papers; Liaise with decision makers, particularly the European Commission, BEREC, and National Regulators; Represent ETNO in public events and other fora.

  • Solid understanding of telecoms regulation & political/market context;
  • Outstanding manager of formal & informal teams;
  • Strong team player;
  • Strong knowledge of the EU decision-making procedure;
  • Efficient time management and ability to deliver in short time frames;
  • Patient, service-oriented, facilitator of ambitious compromises;
  • Solid strategic, analytical thinking & writing skills;
  • Good at communicating at all levels;
  • Passionate about political intelligence;
  • Open to intense travelling schedule, especially in Europe;
  • Outstanding written and oral English: other languages an asset.
