This event will bring together interested stakeholders from mobile network operators, alternative operators, device manufacturers and public authorities to share ideas and insights on how to achieve Europe's Digital Decade targets for 2030, especially when it comes to the deployment and use of 5G for smart communities and innovative applications.

Our Director General Lise Fuhr will showcase the role played by telecom operators in boosting the cooperation between stakeholders and the role of EU funding in supporting 5G projects.

EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT PLENARY DEBATE OF THE DATA ACT

MEPs adopted their version of the Data Act at the EP plenary vote EP on Tuesday 14 March in Strasbourg.

The Data Act sets common rules governing the sharing data generated by the use of connected products or related services (e.g. IoT, industrial machinery) to ensure fairness in data-sharing contracts.

This video includes the opening statements by Pilar del CASTILLO VERA (EPP, ES), Rapporteur, Adam BIELAN (ECR, PL), IMCO; Ibán GARCÍA DEL BLANCO (S&D, ES), AFCO; Sergey LAGODINSKY (Greens/EFA, DE), LIBE and by Thierry BRETON, European Commissioner for Internal Market.
